Admitting when you’re wrong. Even kewler is taking responsibility for your actions or words that were wrong. I’m serious! How many times do you catch people being, well, just not right, and they refuse to admit it?!? Way to many times, for our taste. And it’s not just kids, but adults too, who let their need to ‘be right’ outweigh what is actually RIGHT!

We just had a Kewl reader (who shall remain nameless!) come forward, admit that they had made a mistake, apologize, and help us figure out how the points   cheating on our site was happening! Now we can make the site more fair and safe for everyone! Isn’t that great! Well…it makes my heart happy, anyhow. I want everyone to have the equal ability to earn and spend points on the site, and without having to wonder if they did it for real, or are pulling one over on us. We aren’t the bad guys - We are giving stuff away for free, after all!

People can only heal their mistakes if they admit them, and commit to making things better. If that’s the only message we spread in the world, I think we’ll have done a great thing!

It is just us, or is this going to be the most awesome end of year movie season EVER! Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Quantum Solace (big ole Bond fan here!), HSM 3 and Twilight!!! This has truly been a great year for films, hasn’t it? Wall*E was amazing, Iron Man fabulous, The Dark Knight has beens spoken of highly (yeah, yeah, we’ll get to it!)…what hasn’t there been to love about the movies?!?

What is your fave movie of the year so far? What movie are you most looking forward to?

And we’re sure you can find the HP trailer on YouTube (get your parents permission! - why isn’t there an acronym for that yet?), and it features Hero Fiennes-Tiffen as the young Tom Riddle, who is the real-life nephew of Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort)! Creepy acting runs in the family!

And don’t forget shaking! All alone in the KEWL offices, and on the phone with our editor Denise at home…and suddenly the whole building starts wobbling back and forth and all around! I calmly took the phone under my desk and told Denise we were having an earthquake - which she was realizing at just about the same moment 5 miles away! She ran off to find Eeyore before he freaked out, and then we were cut off. And it went on and on! 5.8 on the Richter scale, which is no laughing matter, and it went on for long enough for me to realize it was happening, realize it wasn’t stopping (like they usually do), get under the desk, get back out to hang up the phone, get back under the desk, get back out to answer my cell (BFF calling mid quake!), take cell under the desk and talk about quake still going on! Usually they are over before you manage to finish the sentence, “Hey, is that an earthquake?”

Being a native Californian, I personally prefer to be in a one story home or outside when these things hit, but what can you do when you’re on the second story of a four story building surrounded by glass partition walls?!? I decided for under the desk. I think I deserve an ice-blended mocha - what do you think?

Long story short, everyone is fine, including Eeyore, and KEWL production goes on! Wishing you a safe day where ever you are!

Hey guys! Say Hello to our two newest interns, Ashley and Jody! They’re both hard at work learning all the ins and outs of KEWL, and will be the kewl kids responsible for moderating reviews, shout-outs, and doing some pre-selecting of possible Embarrassing Moments and Dear Cassie questions for the site and the magazine! Ashley and photog Eric will be covering the premiere of MTV’s American Mall tonight at the Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood, so she’s getting right into the swing of things already.

Oh, yeah! And editor Denise’s team won the Nationals again! Congratulations Team In Sync - who are once again Team USA!

Everybody at KEWL is getting ready for fun this weekend! Our editor Denise is going to Omaha, Nebraska to compete in the Nationals for Synchronized Roller-Skating. Her team has been the US Champions for yeeeears! So think good thoughts for her on Saturday.

Our photog Eric will be at the San Diego Comicon starting today getting the scoop on everything comic book related in the UNIVERSE!!! Should be some amazing pictures of fun and frolicking sci-fi fans in full costume up on the site when he gets back.  Our favorites are the home-made R2 units! (If you don’t know what we mean, re-watch Star Wars immediately!)

The rest of us are gearing up for Jillian Clare’s Sweet Sixteen party, which is going to be a blast! She’s friends with tons of other fun teen actors and actresses too, so it’s sure to be lol the whole time!

And there’s the beach and outdoor movies and putting on shows for friends…what are you guys doing?

We are sad to report that here at KEWL, we seem to have readers with no ethics. You’d think a site like ours would only attract a certain kind of reader, but we’ve had to accept that this isn’t necessarily true. There are actually people out there faking entries into our system in order to steal points, and then they’re using those points to get prize entries and kewlstore items. The saddest part is, that now we have to look into every entry and make sure that people have been earning their points the right way and not cheating before we send things out.

This is sad. In a world where there is hunger and other real problems, we find it sad that some people could be so greedy. No matter who we pray to, no religion thinks that kind of behavior is okay.

So, let’s do some positive work on a personal level! Let’s look at the things we do in our everyday lives - on the computer, at school, in our families - and make sure we’d be proud of our actions instead of just happy about the outcomes. The things you treasure longest aren’t the hippest or the coolest.  They are the  things we worked hardest to earn. They make us proud.

We believe in second chances…what would you do if you found a cheater?

How annoying was that?!? 116 comments on our blog this weekend, and almost ALL of them were spam!!! It’s a good thing for you guys that we delete all that junk…but not so fun for us! Don’t those guys know how much bad karma they are racking up just by pushing that send button? They’ll definitely come back as cockroaches in the next life.  Yes! At times like these, it can be very comforting to believe in re-incarnation! Whatever you believe, let’s all believe that “what you send out into the world comes back to get you”, and we can all be a little more calm about evil-spam-doers in our universe!

The KEWLteam is growing again, and soon there will be more people than ever on the street and at events to get you the scoop on what’s hot with the Hollywood celeb scene.  Eric our photog was as the Jonas FNMTV taping on Friday and brought us the crazy news scoop, and he even spent time out on the Santa Monica Pier to get pix of Miley and the HM gang, and got a few signed prizes for upcoming issues as well!  You guys are so lucky!

The August issue is rolling out as we speak, so you’ll be able to get yours soon!

We’ve been seeing stars again! It’s just weird when they’re not circling around our heads (lol). No, really: Yesterday we had Christian Serratos in talking about her role in the new Twilight movie (suppress scream here). So much fun - no dirt.  Cuz that’s the way we roll…!

And this morning we met up with kewl kat Brett DelBuono, who told us a thing or two about his role in the upcoming drama series “The Cleaner” with Benjamin Bratt. We had a lot of fun, and didn’t talk nearly enough about his massive necktie collection…we’ll have to do that again later.

Now our roving reporter/photog is at a Grammy’s presentation with Jesse McCartney and Sara Bareilles!  More Kewl stuff comin’ at ya!

You guys are all about to have fits of jealousy when you find out who we had in the studio yesterday! He came straight from the set, and we got to joke around and do crazy stuff (oh, and take pictures and do an interview, I guess) with iCarly’s Nathan Kress!!! What a kewl guy! So funny. So smart. Heck, just an all-around perfect guy, and we’re glad we got to have him in the office for a while! No secrets now - all will be revealed in later issues of KEWL!

Hey, I just realized that the title and the picture might make it look like Nathan and Jennette are dating - THEY’RE NOT! If they ever do, they’ll say so - but the whole cast are all just great friends, kay? Clarity.

We also had a quick visit from Savannah Outen, who is one of the newest rising stars on Radio Disney. We managed to fit in a whole photo-shoot and interview just before she was whisked off to Radio Disney just down the street to do a live interview for you guys!

It can be fun to be at the heart of things like we are…! Luckily, it’s our job, too!
