Miley Hysteria
We love Miley as much as the next person, but things are really getting out of hand. When mother’s are willing to do ANYTHING to get their children tickets to her show, including throwing all good morals out the window to lie cheat and basically steal their way into a concert (the mom who wrote an essay for her daughter to win Miley tickets, and everything in the sob story letter was a lie from start to finish!), or a 16 year old gets jailed for planning on hi-jacking a plane and flying it into a Miley concert (that was actually in the news this morning guys!), we really have to put a reality check on our hysteria!
Miley is talented. Miley puts on a great show. But as hard as it is to believe, she’s just a regular teen like you guys! She won’t be one for long, though, if junk like this keeps happening around her! Look at what media and fan attention did to Britney. We need to bring it down a notch, people, if only to keep her, and ourselves safe.
We get letters and emails and shout-outs and posts many times a day in which people say that all they want in life is to meet Miley. Our goal for today, is to think of at least one other goal in life! One that would actually make a difference in the world, and in your life. We love Miley, but she’s not going to touch you and fill you with eternal inner peace! (At least I don’t think so:))
Are we being too down here, or are we making some sense? Sound off at us if you want, go ahead. It’s just that the reports of all this crazy behavior is scaring us a little. Does EVERYONE really have any right to a ‘piece of Miley’?
in thoughtfulness,
theKEWLteam

I TOTALLY agree! I am not really a huge Miley fan, tho, so I guess I could agree more than a true Miley fan. But I’ll just start placing the Jonas Brothers in instead of Miley (just so I can get in a place where I am SUPER crazy about those celebs)
NO ONE should do anything illegal just to meet their fave stars! Or ANYTHING against their morals… not EVEN JB!!
It is not good… and I REALLY doubt that would give a good impression to the Jonas Brothers or Miley or whoever else you really luvvv!
So… yeah… I agree with y’all, KEWL mag!
P.S. to everyone: Do not forget that Minutemen AND the premiere of JB’s new music vid is on tonight on Disney Channel!:))

Yeah, I like celebritys and stuff but I’m not really obsesive.
Ive met Akon and Rihana before and it was the first time for me meeting celebs, so I was soo nervous.
And I hardly said anything to them the whole time I was to scared.
But after I was soo upset about not saying anything
I relized then they are just regular people.
and I’ve written to celebs including Miley before and I’ve recieve an autograph back, but I would rather go out with my friends for the night than meet a celebrity for 5 minutes.

I am one of mileys biggest fans I dont belive it is her fault.People are responcible for there own acts, even if they want to belive it or not. Miley was not always in the spot light she was like us at a time. Her talent got her to were she is now and i dont thik we should be knocking her down. Look at what happend to Britney the kept Knocking her down and the pusched her off the surface .
If everyone just let her be her ture colors are going to have to came out. To realy now its going to have to happen when the time is ready………………

I think you’re right, Alyssa. It’s not her fault at all. And we’ve got nothing against her. We’re just worried about the people who seem like they might be basing their whole life’s worth on someone they have never met! I’ve also gotta agree with Sami about going out with my friends instead of getting a 5 minute meeting with a celebrity. In the end, you still don’t know them like you know your friends! And they don’t know you like your friends do either!

Wow, I totally agree! One of my biggest fears is seeing Miley end up like Britney. It would be absolutely heartbreaking to see such a thing! However, Miley and Britney are totally different people.. And Miley is blessed with the most supportive friends, fans, and family. What more can anyone ask for? As long as she maintains a strong support group, I’m certain she can get through the pressures of Hollywood. She has a good head on her shoulders.. it’ll come in handy in the long run.
I agree though, people can get completely out of hand with their obsessions. I am a HUGE fan of Miley’s but I definitely can’t claim to be “#1″..cause I know for a fact that it’s not true. I actually feel bad for those who are bigger fans & have yet to meet her. I met her at my concert and got more than I’ve ever anticipated. and although it didn’t feel like it.. but after seeing how desperate of measures people will take, I know I am one of the luckiest girls in the world.
