We just met the Kewlest guy ever!  (Okay, maybe not ever, but…) Super dreamy Matt White was down the street at ”Last Call with Carson Daly”, and we got to go watch his soundcheck and interview him!  It’s pretty late at night when it’s on, so be sure to Tivo it for future watching enjoyment!  We love his album “Best Days”, and he even played the song “Best Days” for the show!  His band was incredible, too!  Really nice guys who were great musicians, and the performance was awesome! 

We got a little alone time with Matt after the rehearsal, and found out a whole lot of interesting facts about how he comes up with all the super romantic love-songs that his album is just full of!  Even if you’re as fed up with boys as I am, you’ll feel your heart melt just listening to his music.  If you haven’t heard it yet - What are you waiting for?!?

He was even nice enough to sign a couple of CDs for us to give away to our readers, so make sure you keep entering those online contests at kewlmag.com!

What’s the best meal ever?!?  Is this a sign we should go to lunch, or what?!?  Tell us what your fave foods are, and don’t forget the ‘meal’ angle!  Chocolate cake may replace a meal, but does not a meal make! … nope, I won’t go have cake for lunch… promise… really… well…

Okay!  So here at KEWL, we didn’t actually get to go to any parties… Too busy getting the next issue of KEWL ready for the printers!  But by the look of it, everyone else did!  All the stars were out and dressed up, and so were all of our friends!  Only two more days to get out and look at all the fun decorations people have put up before we get down to the serious business of candy collection! 

Here in LA people have “haunts”: people spend so much time and effort on their Halloween decorations, that people travel from all over just to come and look at them!  They are so KEWL!  Some are spooky, some are funny, and some are just strange!

The editor of KEWL Magazine is going to Australia!  If you live down under, and anywhere near Carrara, Queensland , go and check out the 2007 World Artistic Skating Champioships!  The world’s best rollerskaters will be there, including our editor, Denise Bradley, who’s competing in the Precision Team Programme for Team USA!!!  It should be super KEWL!

Where’s the KEWLest place you’ve ever been?  Since we’re from all over the world, the places will be all over the world!  Make sure you explain WHY you thought it was so kewl, so we understand if the place happens to be in our own backyard!

Here at KEWL, we’ll try anything!  We’ve got schedules on our computers, post-it notes all over the walls and our desks, super-sized dry-erase board calendars, and each other, and still we forget stuff!  Maybe that’s what happened to Zac when he didn’t show up to the screening of Hairspray in Beverly Hills Tuesday night!  (Yep!  We were there, he wasn’t, grrr!  Though we did get some great stories from Amanda Bynes, some dance steps and a song from John Travolta, and got Elijah Kelley and Brittany Snow to sign some CDs for you guys to win in the next issue!)

So… what do you do to make sure you get places on time or get homework and projects done on time?  Share your secrets!  I’m sure we could all use some great and pre-tested back up plans!

We think we’ve noticed a trend: Both the Spice Girls and The Cheetah Girls are counting on Dancing with the Stars to promote their new albums and tours!  Do you think Marie Osmond is considering bringing out a new album, too!  Just kidding!  In a way, that’s three generations of teen popstars dancing on that show!

So, have you been watching?  What are you thinking?  Are you voting?  Who do you want to win?  Even though the gals are all doing great, we’re slightly in crush with the South American race car driver who CAN DANCE like a pro!  If you also suffer from ballroom dance fantasies, you may, or may not, want to check out the film “Strictly Ballroom”!  It’s an older Australian film, but it’s super-dreamy!  “Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps!”

They were once a hot pop sensation, but that’s like forever ago… are they going to be hot again?!?  They’re going on tour to a few select cities around the world, and the tickets are selling out FAST!  We couldn’t get any for LA, and Vegas is sold out except on a week night!

Orange!

 Most of you went with red (for the Wildcats) or blue (for his eyes!), but he actually said it was Orange!  Maybe because of all those orange Nickelodeon blimp awards he has at home?!?

We’ve been beautifying the KEWL offices today (cause we have so much time on our hands???) using lots of posters from the mag, and some super new stick on shapes and patterns in pink, red, and Zac’s fave orange!  They’re all our fave colors - though our editor Denise is a big fan of purple, and Susan is into greens and browns, as well!

In most of the Northern Hemisphere (that’s everything north of the Equator!), it’s getting colder, and it’s always a good idea to have plenty of ideas for getting warmed up and cozy after being outside! 

Here at KEWL, where the offices are so air-conditioned that it’s like winter all year long (grrrrr!… or is it brrrrrr?), we keep big woolly sweaters on hand, and fuzzy fleece blankets, and have lot’s of ‘fair trade’ cocoa around for warming up when things get kewl-er than is completely comfortable!

So, what are your favorite ways of getting warm when the temps start dropping?  Do you like a fire in the fireplace?  Going to the gym and dancing or running around til you get all sweaty?  (Yuck?)  Taking a hot bath?  Are there fuzzy robes involved?  Or jeans warmed in the dryer?
