We’re getting back to basics, and getting with the family for the holiday!  What are you guys doing?  And kewl traditions you love and want to share for this Labor Day Weekend?  My secret?  This is the BEST time of year to visit the San Francisco Bay Area!  And it’s the only time you won’t freeze your behind off in the fog!  We’ll hike in the hills, maybe go swimming at Stinson Beach, and eat like there’s no tomorrow!

The KEWL Magazine offices are super-kewled today, as our air-conditioning seems to be working overtime!  One step outside, and the hot southern California August air makes you feel like you’ve been dancing for four hours straight!  So we’re wearing shorts and jackets at our desks! 

What temps do you prefer?  Cold or Hot?  Are you savoring the last bit of summer heat, or thirsting for the fall and it’s turtlenecks and woolies?  What temp do you love, and why?!

Yesterday, we visited Disneyland in California, and it kinda rocks!  Okay, so we live nearby, and try to get there once a year, so we’re spoiled, but it just keeps getting better!  We don’t want to advertise, but the kewl new parts of Pirates of the Caribbean made us really happy - and the new Nemo parts of the old school submarine ride were really fun, too!  And over in the California Adventures park - We loved Soaring over California and The Tower of Terror, too!  Okay, got any faves of your own?  At any park, anywhere? 

What makes a ride or attraction great to you?  Imagination? Thrills? Screams? Laughs?

Let us know!  We’re still high on all the sugar we ate!  …only for one day, of course!

Do you agree with the winners of last nights teen choice awards?  Thousands of teens voted online for the nominees and the winners, but that still doesn’t mean you have to agree!  So let us know what you think here!

Our KEWL interns are in the offices again, and other than a whole lotta good mojo, they bring on the tunes!  “Beautiful Girls”, the Hairspray Soundtrack, and anything by Drake Bell have been our faves.  What have you guys been hooking into?  Tell us the last piece of music you bought, album or single, CD or download, and let’s find out what keeps your hips shakin’ and your toes tappin’…Okay!  So interpretive dance is allowed, too!  Get crazy!  And have a super danceable weekend!

This one goes out especially to readers in NYC!  Have any of you seen any previews of “The Little Mermaid”?  It’s a musical on Broadway now, and though it doesn’t premiere for another month, these shows always have previews to work out the kinks ahead of time.  Is anyone in the know?  The previews are also often much cheaper than going once the show has opened, though it usually means you have to accept the show stopping for technical reasons now and then.  Hey!  How KEWL would it be to see behind the scenes of a Broadway musical like that?!?

Okay, we seem to be doing a little spur of the moment Shia Labeouf film festival here at the KEWL offices…first Disturbia over the weekend (squirming all over the living room!), and then (finally!) Transformers yesterday!  He’s such a mush face, but somehow, we want more!  He’s just so cute!  and squishy faced!  Are we out of line, here?!? 

So guys, here’s the thing: What should we watch next?  What are your favorite Shia-moments?  Is he still cute, even though he’s twenty-one?  Let us know, so we can decide how much time to give him in the mag!
